Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Physical Therapist to join our team at Hilo Medical Center. This role requires a professional who is ready to deliver exceptional care in a dynamic environment.

Certification Requirements
  • The candidate must possess a valid Hawaii License before commencing the assignment.
  • Travelers without an active State of HI license must initiate the application process upon offer acceptance.
Job Responsibilities
  • This position is intended for a candidate with a strong background in ACUTE Inpatient settings.
  • Primary responsibilities include coverage in ACUTE REHAB and secondary duties in ICF/SNF Rehab.
  • The therapist will be responsible for evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients, planning, and implementing a comprehensive therapeutic physical therapy program as prescribed by the attending physician or consulting specialist.
  • Availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential based on hospital operations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 6 months of professional experience in at least one of the following settings: Acute care, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing facility (SNF) working with adult patients.
Schedule Information

Work hours are variable, with potential schedules including:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Unit Specific Information

The unit utilizes EMR - Meditech for documentation and patient management. Required skills include a minimum of 6 months of experience in settings focused on adult care.
