Electrical Lineworker

Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Electrical Lineworker to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical transmission and distribution systems. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Install and maintain electrical transmission and distribution lines, including overhead and underground systems
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers
* Operate a variety of equipment, including line trucks, aerial lifts, and wire pulling machines
* Work at heights and in confined spaces, using proper safety procedures and equipment
* Collaborate with other crew members to complete projects and meet deadlines

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent experience
* Completion of a formal training program for electrical lineworkers
* Must meet examining board review of skills and experience
* Must own or be able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman
* Completion of a formal training program for electrical lineworkers

Physical Demands

The job duties of this position require lifting in excess of 75 lbs, carrying in excess of 75 lbs, and pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs of exertional force. The job also requires sustained, awkward positions/postures, including bending and twisting at the waist and neck, and reaching forward, to the side, across the body, and overhead. Additional requirements include forceful grip and pinch, manipulation of small objects, and balancing on one or both legs during dynamic activities.
