Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Trauma Nurse to join our team at Seton Medical Center Hays. As a key member of our medical surgical unit, you will provide direct nursing care to patients with orthopedic trauma injuries.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines to provide well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
