Position Overview:

As an Avionics and Electrical Systems Technician II, you will be part of a dedicated team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, focusing on the testing and repair of advanced aircraft systems.

Compensation:
$10,000 Sign-on Bonus Eligible

Key Skills Required:
  • Availability for multiple shifts

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the avionics or electrical field is required, or two (2) years of accredited education in aviation electronics coupled with two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include an A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC certification, and NCATT certification.

Role Purpose:
This position is designed to provide specialized technical support in diagnosing and rectifying aircraft system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operational schedules. The technician will utilize their expertise to implement process improvements aimed at reducing costs while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit advanced technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct installations and functional tests of electrical and avionics components according to engineering specifications, ensuring a defect-free outcome.
  • Guarantee the quality and efficiency of all installations by diagnosing and rectifying issues promptly.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in repairing or replacing defective components and wiring, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Execute engineering modifications and changes as necessary.
  • Set up and operate testing equipment, performing functional and operational evaluations to assess performance and reliability.
  • Document all work performed on aircraft thoroughly and prepare for inspections.
  • Maintain and test electronic systems and components, adhering to safety regulations and company protocols.
  • Adapt to unexpected schedule changes effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:
In support of aircraft certification and final testing phases, participation in flight tests may be required.

Other Qualifications:
  • Preferred knowledge in the operation and troubleshooting of various aircraft systems beyond avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, and environmental controls.
  • Ability to interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Physical capability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language is required.
