The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our equipment and facilities. This position encompasses both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks, as well as troubleshooting and repairs.
Shift: 6PM-6AM, 1-3-3 rotation
Starting Pay Rate: $26.40/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment failures, replacing defective parts and utilizing standard diagnostic tools, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Maintain and repair machinery and mechanical systems, including pneumatic tools, motors, and production equipment, using a variety of testing instruments and hand tools.
- Conduct installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Inspect and repair complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, and automated systems.
- Perform wiring tasks and install electrical conduits according to schematics and specifications.
- Assist engineering teams in diagnosing issues and proposing corrective measures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports on equipment performance and downtime.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Trade School Certification or equivalent experience in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Multi-craft Maintenance Technician.
- Strong understanding of plant utility systems and industrial machine repair techniques.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be safety-conscious and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
- Willingness to work overtime and handle physical demands of the job.
