Job Summary

Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, seeks a dynamic and experienced Softball Coach to lead our high school softball program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive softball program that includes skill development, team strategy, and sportsmanship.
    • Set high standards for academic and athletic performance for all student-athletes.
    • Foster a positive, competitive, and inclusive team culture.
  • Coaching
    • Plan and conduct effective practice sessions.
    • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to student-athletes.
    • Develop game strategies and manage game-day activities.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Coordinate scheduling of games, practices, and team events.
    • Ensure compliance with all school, district, and league policies and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of player eligibility, team statistics, and inventory of equipment and uniforms.
  • Player Support
    • Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes.
    • Advocate for student-athletes with teachers, counselors, and administrators.
    • Promote the physical and mental well-being of players.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience
    • Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher is required.
    • Knowledge of softball techniques, rules, and strategies.
    • Proven track record of developing and improving athletic programs.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other coaches, staff, and school administrators.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Prior high school coaching experience in club and/or high school softball.
  • Dedication, enthusiasm, commitment, and passion for softball.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
