Job Summary:

The State of Alaska is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Maintenance and Repair Professional to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our HVAC systems, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including gas and oil heating systems, plumbing, electrical, glazing, roofing, carpentry, cement/masonry, flooring, painting, and other finishes.
* Assist with statewide heating fuel tank maintenance inspections and repairs.
* Perform seasonal preventative maintenance work to ensure facilities are kept in good repair.
* Coordinate building inspections to assess extra-ordinary maintenance and/or tenant-caused repair needs.
* Determine cause and damage to building, units, and/or equipment and required repairs; advise Facilities Management if repair and labor costs are not due to normal wear and tear.

Requirements:

* Graduation from high school, GED, or equivalent and four years apprenticeship training or three years journeyman level experience in construction or maintenance of buildings, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or mechanical trades work; or any equivalent combination of experience or training.
* Possession of, or ability to obtain within one year of hire, a Boiler Operator Certificate of Fitness Class 3 and a Backflow Assembly Tester License.
