We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at High Point Residence in Wood River, IL.
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a 2nd shift and weekend availability position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily activities and needs as directed by the Wellness Director.
- Assist residents with meals and ensure they are well-nourished.
- Take vital signs and monitor residents' health.
- Transfer, move, or reposition residents as needed.
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from the caregiver team.
- Answer resident calls and respond to their needs.
- Clean and sanitize resident areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist in changing bed sheets and restocking necessary supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Wellness Director or nursing supervisor.
Requirements:
- Current, valid IL state certification and in good standing.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant program.
- Current on the IDPH HCWR Registry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks typically performed in CNA work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid CPR certification (recently expired accepted, we will get you recertified).
