Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. You will also engage clients in activities that enhance their quality of life and maintain clear and professional communication with clients, their families, and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to clients in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
  • Engage clients in activities that enhance their quality of life, such as hobbies, exercise, and socialization.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, their families, and team members, including documenting client progress and needs.
  • Assist with medication management, including administering medications as directed by clients' healthcare providers.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, including listening to their concerns and providing reassurance.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on best practices in home care and to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in the home care industry.
  • Demonstrated compassion and commitment to caring for others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
  • Must pass a background check and provide professional references.
