At Novel Energy Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Survey Technician to join our team in Maine. As a key member of our survey crew, you will be responsible for conducting field surveys and collecting data to support the development of solar PV projects.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year's experience working on a survey crew or education in a surveying technology program. You must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Crew Chief with conducting field surveys for property boundaries, topography, GIS data collection, geodetic control, etc.
  • Providing construction staking for site layout, structures, grading, paving, roadways, drainage features, etc.
  • Locating boundary monuments and evidence of occupation.
  • Collecting and processing field data to produce topographic maps for civil design, perform boundary survey. Calculations in the field using Trimble data collection software.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work in all weather conditions and terrain encountered in Maine, and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
