Job Summary

Core Group Resources Careers is seeking a highly skilled Structural Operations Manager to oversee and manage structural operations on various shipbuilding and repair projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural techniques, tools, and materials, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Structural Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising all structural activities on assigned projects.
  • Ensure that all structural work is performed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to structural teams, ensuring effective teamwork and productivity.
  • Monitor project schedules and progress, making adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments and trades to ensure smooth workflow and project integration.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, including progress, quality, and safety documentation.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the course of the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and personnel involved.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of structural techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural work.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management and reporting.
