About the Job:

This is a travel nurse position in a men's medium security state prison. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience in a corrections or similar setting and be willing to obtain VA and/or compact licensure.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health status, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions as needed
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
