Job Title: Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in Interventional Radiology. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding. You will also be responsible for scheduling patients for procedures, including pre-authorizations, working with other facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, processing orders, and sending reports back to referring doctors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding
  • Schedule patients for procedures, including pre-authorizations, working with other facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, processing orders, and sending reports back to referring doctors
  • Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries
  • Perform or assist procedures such as paracentesis and thoracentesis
  • Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
  • Perform patient history and physical examinations
  • Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
  • Educate patients on their medical care
Requirements:
  • Board-certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
  • Must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Prior specific interventional radiology experience would be considered a plus, but not required
