About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Good Samaritan Hospital. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you will be responsible for providing athletic training services to patients of all ages, utilizing prophylactic or effective treatment methods. You will foster and maintain strong relationships between the sports medicine team, schools, youth organizations, athletes, and providers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a Safe and Healthy Work Environment: Establish, follow, and enforce standards and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, complying with legal regulations.
  2. Ensure Patient and Employee Safety: Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  3. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Knowledge: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies, and maintaining state licensure.
  4. Provide Athletic Training Services: Provide athletic training services to athletes as needed and maintain strong relationships between the department, schools, youth organizations, athletes, and providers.
  5. Participate in Community Engagement: Be involved in at least one community engagement activity.
  6. Assist with Program Development: Assist the Sports Performance Coordinator with the development and implementation of new programs and clinics.
  7. Report and Provide Suggestions: Responsible for reporting breakdowns of necessary support services and providing suggestions for improvements in services to the Coordinator and/or Administrative team.
Requirements
  • Education: BS degree from an accredited athletic training program approved by the National Athletic Training Association.
  • Licensure: Current state license in athletic training.
  • Certification: Current BCLS certification.
  • Graduation: Graduate of an accredited athletic training program.
