Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum.
  • Screenings and Referrals: Conduct screenings and participate in the identification and referral process for students with communication challenges.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, progress reports, and treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: Michigan SLP Licensure.
