Epic Travel Staffing is actively seeking a travel nurse for a Registered Nurse position specializing in Medical Surgical care.

Position Overview:

Job Details:
- Start Date: To be determined
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily adults to geriatrics.
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 in a 42-bed unit, focusing on post-surgical patients across various specialties including Orthopedics, Urology, Colorectal, Bariatrics, Neurology, and General Surgery.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically Epic, along with Pyxis and SBAR for efficient patient management.

Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- First-time travelers are not accepted.

Work Environment:
- The unit consists of primarily post-surgical patients, ensuring a dynamic and engaging work atmosphere.
- Scrub color: Royal Blue.
- Floating may be required.

Holiday and Weekend Expectations:
- Travelers are expected to work on major holidays as per the assignment schedule.
- Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend.

Compliance:
- Full compliance with health and safety regulations is mandatory for timely onboarding.
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations are required, with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons.
