Overview:

The Cleaning Team Member plays a crucial role in ensuring a pristine and secure environment within the club, reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager. This position requires positive interactions with prospects, members, guests, and staff to foster an enjoyable atmosphere. A key responsibility includes the upkeep of locker rooms during scheduled shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver an exceptional fitness experience to every member consistently.
  2. Maintain cleanliness across all club areas, including entrances, exits, outdoor spaces, men's locker rooms, equipment, and flooring.
  3. Greet members and guests warmly, assisting them with their needs.
  4. Address member inquiries and locker room issues courteously, escalating matters as necessary.
  5. Interpret Safety Data Sheets to ensure the safety of both staff and patrons.

Job Duties:

  1. Clean and maintain club facilities and exercise equipment.
  2. Provide outstanding customer service to all members, guests, and visitors.
  3. Ensure the sidewalk entrance and lobby are tidy and welcoming.
  4. Maintain men's locker rooms, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
  5. Process and fold laundry to ensure a steady supply of towels.
  6. Respond promptly and professionally to any cleanliness or safety concerns.
  7. Report any maintenance or facility issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor or General Manager.
  8. Adhere to company and OSHA standards for supplies, products, storage, and laundry rooms.
  9. Utilize appropriate safety equipment when handling hazardous materials.
  10. Participate in all required meetings and training sessions.
  11. Complete assigned paperwork accurately.
  12. Follow established employee conduct and ethical standards.
  13. Uphold club policies regarding facilities, services, programs, and emergency procedures.
  14. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  15. Be available for morning, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong work ethic, emphasizing punctuality, organization, and attention to detail.
  2. Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive demeanor.
  3. Professional appearance that reflects the club's standards.
  4. Confidence in building new relationships quickly.
  5. Capacity to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills rapidly.

  7. Basic understanding of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  8. Clear comprehension of cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Preferred Experience and Education:

  1. High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  2. Six months of commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
  3. CPR/AED certification is preferred.
