Antora Energy is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Product Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the mechanical components of our novel solid-state thermal battery. Your expertise will play a critical role in delivering zero-carbon industrial heat and power.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop structural, fluid, and electrical subsystems and components within the thermal battery module.
- Perform design calculations, finite element analysis, and trade studies for structural, thermal, and fluid systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and maintain engineering and CAD best practices, standards, documentation, and infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering processes and standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant industry experience, or PhD.
- Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in designing metallic components for low-mid volume production, with expertise in welding, machining, sheet metal forming, and brazing.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Solidworks, PDM software, engineering drawings (GD&T, ASME Y14.5), finite element analysis (FEA) software, and relevant hand calculations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Competitive salary range: $163,000 - $195,000 USD (Senior Engineer), $183,000 - $220,000 USD (Staff Engineer).
