We are in search of a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer who can oversee the geotechnical elements of various projects, conduct thorough geotechnical evaluations, provide foundational guidance, and offer expert recommendations throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties for this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality geotechnical services on schedule and within financial constraints
  • Drafting and refining reports, specifications, plans, and designs for diverse projects
  • Acting as a technical authority within a multidisciplinary team
  • Designing and managing subsurface exploration initiatives
  • Estimating costs, defining project scopes, and preparing proposals
  • Ensuring the completeness and precision of design efforts
  • Utilizing design software to formulate engineering recommendations
  • Engaging in Design/Build projects, collaborating with contractors and construction teams regarding feasibility and cost implications related to field conditions, sequencing, and construction scheduling
  • Occasionally working on-site for clients or in project offices as necessary
  • Participating in project scoping, fee estimation, proposal drafting, and interviews
  • Conducting design calculations and investigations to support design recommendations and the development of contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates)
Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in geotechnical design is required
  • Experience with static and dynamic load testing is highly desirable
  • Field experience in site grading, slope stabilization, retaining wall, and foundation construction is preferred
  • Professional Engineer Certification is mandatory
  • Experience in Design Build projects is advantageous
