Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic surgical oncology team in a scenic area near Hamburg, Minnesota. This locum tenens opportunity offers a chance to work closely with a supportive team and provide high-quality care to patients.

Position Details:
  • Profession: Nurse Practitioner
  • Specialty: General Surgery, with a focus on Surgical Oncology
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with the possibility to extend
  • Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard day shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), weekend call rotation approximately twice per 3-month period
Role Highlights:
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Assist in general surgeries and participate in post-op visits
    • Perform specialized surgical procedures as needed, with breast experience preferred
  • Support Structure:
    • Collaborate closely with an experienced MD and dedicated surgical support staff
    • Work within a well-equipped surgical oncology department
  • Emergency Privileges: Available for fast onboarding
  • Observed Holidays: Non-billable orientation provided for 4 hours at the start of the assignment
  • Location Flexibility: Coverage across three locations within a short distance of Hamburg, MN, providing diversity in patient care settings
Requirements:
  • Active Minnesota state license required, though IMLC candidates may be considered
  • Minimum of one year of surgical or surgical oncology experience as an NP or PA
  • Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to float between nearby locations as needed
  • Certifications: Current DEA registration required
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per annum, based on national averages and industry standards for similar positions in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.
