The Loan Operations Associate will be responsible for executing a range of loan servicing tasks related to real estate financing. This includes the generation of payoff demand statements, overseeing the maintenance and tracking of all active loans, facilitating servicing transfers to investors, and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.
Work Environment: This position offers flexibility as it can be performed remotely or from a local office, providing options for those who prefer a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the collection of monthly mortgage payments and interest, manage daily deposit operations, and collaborate with the accounting team for check and wire processing.
- Handle the activation and payment processing of private mortgage insurance within the loan origination system.
- Address customer inquiries regarding interest payments, payoffs, and other related questions.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues, including accounting requests, customer complaints, and processing discrepancies.
- Prepare and send welcome letters and other written communications to borrowers and relevant third parties.
- Assist in the management of the non-performing loan portfolio.
- Record loan transactions, including principal payments, advances, reversals, and adjustments.
- Conduct loan servicing research as directed by lending staff or supervisors.
- Develop and maintain reports for management, tracking performance metrics and ad hoc requests.
- Provide payment histories to investors or servicers upon request.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Meet all performance and behavioral standards as outlined in company evaluations.
- Execute responsibilities effectively, achieving desired outcomes within set timelines and maintaining high quality.
- Foster positive and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and business partners.
- Exhibit the necessary competencies to fulfill job responsibilities and pursue personal development.
- Adhere to company policies, including confidentiality, punctuality, and safety practices.
Education:
- Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a financial institution or similar professional environment; or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with mortgage servicing software.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service.
