Texas Children's Hospital is on the lookout for a highly skilled physician to take on the role of Senior Obstetric Anesthesia Specialist. This position is pivotal within our esteemed Department of Anesthesiology.

As we prepare to launch a cutting-edge, full-service hospital, we aim to enhance healthcare access for children and women in the region. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the establishment and growth of a new medical facility dedicated to serving the expanding population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion quality and safety while driving clinical excellence and innovation.
  • Empower patients by providing a range of pain management options.
  • Collaborate closely with the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department for high-risk cases.
  • Develop and implement specialized safety protocols for managing maternal complications.
  • Support women in achieving smooth labor and delivery experiences, including managing high-risk pregnancies.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience as an Obstetric Anesthesia Specialist post-fellowship.
  • Comfortable managing a growing team of Anesthesiologists.
  • Academic credentials suitable for assistant or associate professor roles are desirable but not mandatory.
  • A pioneering spirit with adaptability to the challenges of a new facility is essential.
  • Applicants must possess a Medical Degree, complete a Residency in Anesthesiology, and have a Fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesiology, along with Board Certification.
  • Eligibility for a Texas medical license is required.
