Learning Support Specialist

As a Learning Support Specialist at Adelbrook Inc, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong behavior management skills and experience working with students in a school setting.
Job Summary:
The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) provides one-to-one support for students with ASD, developmental & intellectual disabilities by implementing behavioral and instructional strategies and activities. You will work closely with teachers to provide academic assistance based on lessons and assignments while maintaining classroom management.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Provide individualized support to students in achieving their academic goals
- Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers to implement behavior management strategies
- Supervise students during class time and ensure adherence to classroom rules
- Monitor student progress and report to teachers
- Participate in planning and placement team meetings as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of the School Paraprofessional Certification
- Two or more years of experience working with children in a school setting
- Strong behavior management skills and knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities
What We Offer
