Position Summary:
SIE is seeking a qualified Bridge Inspection Team Leader to oversee inspection projects involving long span, roadway, and rail bridges. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity and safety of infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate inspection teams and manage equipment logistics.
- Prepare necessary documentation and support for field inspections.
- Conduct field inspections and generate detailed reports in accordance with client specifications.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients during field activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during inspections.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to team members.
- Travel to various project sites as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License in New York and New Jersey is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in bridge inspection as a Team Leader.
- Completion of the FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Training and/or Refresher Course.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Physical capability to perform tasks associated with the role, including working at heights.
- Familiarity with NYSDOT, TBTA, PANYNJ, NYCT, MNR, LIRR, and other relevant agencies in New York and New Jersey.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microstation and AutoCAD.
- Valid Driver's License.
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $93,600 - $156,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. SIE values employee wellness and offers a competitive benefits package, including:
