ASRC Federal Communications is in search of an Electrical Operations Manager to oversee our ISS2 contract supporting a significant client. This role is pivotal in managing all facets of electrical operations within ASRC Communications, Ltd (ASRCC). The successful candidate will ensure that all electrical projects, including HVAC and solar initiatives, are executed safely, efficiently, and in adherence to applicable codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise electrical projects, focusing on HVAC and solar installations.
  • Coordinate pre-construction electrical tasks, including planning, budgeting, scope definition, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with various construction trades to ensure synchronized project activities and timely completions.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for materials and services in job proposals.
  • Guarantee that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and electricians to formulate detailed project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
  • Conduct assessments and inspections of electrical systems.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to installation teams.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in partnership with the Electrical Lead.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in the electrical, HVAC, and solar sectors.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of electrical work, including blueprints and project documentation.
  • Address customer needs promptly with tailored solutions.
  • Resolve customer concerns regarding electrical installations.
  • Promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and events as required.
  • Assist in recruitment and hiring processes for electricians.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, along with integrity and sound judgment.
  • Thorough understanding of the skills required for all lower classifications.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to quickly learn new concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive in identifying and proposing new tasks and procedures.
  • Ability to perform detailed work with high accuracy amidst frequent interruptions.
  • Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical plans and apply design techniques and principles.
  • Proficient in developing and monitoring project budgets specific to electrical work.
  • In-depth knowledge of current National Electrical Codes (NEC) and local amendments.
  • Proficient in computer functions, particularly in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to understand and apply complex written policies and compliance regulations.
  • Capability to plan, organize, and direct construction activities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to read blueprints and write specifications for material procurement.
Required Qualifications:
  • Electrical Administrator's license and Journeyman's certification active in the State of Alaska.
  • Ten years of progressive experience in electrical work, preferably in HVAC and solar, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • Professional representation of ASRCC.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including to remote areas.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Must obtain a SECRET clearance.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four-year degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Six years of progressive experience in electrical work in remote locations.

Physical Requirements: The role involves frequent climbing, walking, and standing during site visits. Good manual dexterity and coordination are necessary, along with the ability to work long hours in remote areas and various weather conditions.
