Job Title: Ready Mix Truck Driver

CRH Plc. is seeking a skilled Ready Mix Truck Driver to join our team. As a Ready Mix Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating ready mix trucks in a safe and professional manner to deliver products to various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate equipment in a clean and safe condition.
  • Report to work on time and perform thorough pre and post-trip truck inspections.
  • Verify general compliance with mix specifications after loading and at job site.
  • Position Ready Mix Truck under discharge boot to receive concrete.
  • Drive Ready Mix Truck safely to location for unloading.
  • Operate Ready Mix Truck to place concrete in specified area as directed by customer.
  • Wash Ready Mix Truck in specified wash-out areas to avoid concrete build-up in the mixer barrel as well as the exterior of mixer.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Requirements:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to operate an electronic device such as a tablet.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or Class B.
  • Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
