Job Summary

Noble Casing Inc is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our team. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, and repair of all NCI vehicles. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical expertise and manual skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and/or rebuild equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to prevent equipment failure.
• Inspect and test vehicles to ensure safety and report any irregularities or equipment abuse to the shop manager.
• Manage the NCI ongoing vehicle maintenance program.
• Learn the operating and maintenance procedures for all NCI vehicles and equipment.
• Make road calls when vehicles become disabled.
• Evaluate work done by outside contractors.
• Help the shop manager develop short/long-range maintenance plans.
• Recommend the replacement of equipment necessary to ensure fleet effectiveness.
• Teach drivers how to recognize problems before they result in an equipment malfunction.
• Encourage drivers to ask questions and offer suggestions.
• Uphold NCI policies and follow administrative procedures.
• Coordinate activities with the shop manager by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate mechanics.
• Supervise and participate in the construction of specialized tools and equipment.
• Oversee the overhauling and rebuilding of trucks, tractors, pumps, cranes, and other standard or specialized gasoline and diesel operated oil field equipment.
• Examine defective machinery to determine the cause of malfunction and report the need for machine repairs.
• Set up and operate machines to make test runs and experimental products.
• Inspect work in progress and finished products.
• Confer with supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Perform activities of workers supervised.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years related experience.

Education and Training

• Complete all Noble and industry-specific training.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.

Physical Demands

• Light Duty: Lifting of 20 pounds maximum with possibility of frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Medium Duty: Lifting of 50 pounds maximum with possibility of frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Heavy Work: Lifting of 100 pounds maximum with possibility of frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.

Audio-Visual & Licensing Demands

• Valid Driver's License.

Work Environment

• This job may include exposure to chemicals, cold, dampness, fumes/gases, heat/humidity, noise, height, moving mechanical parts, repetitive motions, grasping, finger dexterity, pushing and pulling, foot movement, fine manipulation, maneuverability, frequent bending, squatting, reaching, occasional climbing, twisting, and driver criteria.

Compensation

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $25-$30 per hour.
