Job Description

At Mountain Plains, we are seeking a highly skilled Survey Crew Chief to lead our construction staking and surveying efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing construction staking, boundary, as-built, and topographic surveying, as well as routing pipelines, roadways, electrical lines, and other utilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform construction staking and surveying tasks with precision and accuracy
  • Route pipelines, roadways, electrical lines, and other utilities while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards
  • Select and field-fit well pads and construction staging pads
  • Research and identify property ownership, corner records, and existing surface rights-of-way
  • Operate Trimble GPS, Total Station, and Lazer Level equipment
  • Prepare and manage data files within Trimble Business Center
  • Foster effective communication with clients across various sectors, including oil and gas, transportation, and private industries
  • Anticipate and resolve customer challenges, ensuring timely and satisfactory solutions
  • Operate a company-provided vehicle with trailer and UTV
  • Maintain safe work habits by adhering to proper processes and procedures
