Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team at Grande Ronde Retirement Residence. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with meal preparation, presentation, and service, as well as maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with meal preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe dining environment, including the kitchen, dining room, and surrounding areas.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure that all food services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with food storage, handling, and disposal, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and implement special events and menus, ensuring that all residents have access to a variety of dining options.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds, as well as stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
