About the Role

As a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional mental health care to patients in Southern California. This opportunity offers flexibility, with two days per week working via telehealth from home on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental health histories and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications with appropriate follow-up care.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including psychoeducation and crisis management.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • See clients ranging from ages 8+

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatry (PMHNP certification required).
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California.
  • Eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in psychiatric care, preferably with diverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
