Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Trainee plays a vital role in assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. As a trainee, you will participate in various aspects of pharmacy practice under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This position offers paid on-the-job training and the opportunity to become a licensed pharmacy technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare medication orders and receive prescriptions
  • Complete required paperwork and assist with billing
  • Stock medication and deliver medication to patients
  • Support patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
  • Apply for Pharmacy Technician Trainee License within 4 weeks of hire date and obtain within 8 weeks of hire
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service experience
Work Environment

This position requires working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. The Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be expected to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
