Role Summary:

We are on the lookout for skilled Infrastructure Solutions Engineers to become part of our platform engineering team. In this role, you will work alongside various project teams to design and create reusable infrastructure and software components. Your contributions will be vital in developing resilient, scalable solutions utilizing modern infrastructure as code and DevOps methodologies, aimed at improving application durability, minimizing expenses, and expediting delivery to mission stakeholders.

Note: Active security clearance with full scope polygraph is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute reusable software solutions and business processes employing industry-standard infrastructure as code (IaC) and DevOps methodologies.
  • Leverage cloud-native tools to construct and maintain infrastructure that supports large-scale, user-facing applications.
  • Develop and deploy containerized applications utilizing Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Debug and enhance applications written in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby on Linux systems.
  • Oversee relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and document databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), including managed services.
  • Provide tier 3 support and conduct root cause analysis for application and infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile setting using Git-based workflows.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with varying levels of experience required based on seniority.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing cloud-native tools for application development.
  • Strong skills in writing infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (preferred), Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience managing relational and document databases.
  • Ability to provide tier 3 support and perform root cause analysis for application and infrastructure failures.
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies for software development.
