Heavy Equipment Operator

Republic Services is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste materials.
- Perform minor service on equipment and document any necessary repairs.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation.
- One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
- Good customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
