Job Overview

Position: Grounds Maintenance Technician

Vanguard Resources, Inc., a leader in the Facilities Management sector, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time position involves working collaboratively with our maintenance staff to ensure the upkeep of outdoor areas.

Work Schedule

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional weekend, holiday, or evening shifts as required.

Role Purpose

The Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of the grounds. Key responsibilities include:

  • Mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
  • Weeding and pest control
  • Watering and fertilizing plants
  • Removing debris and trash
  • Maintaining ornamental beds and performing planting tasks
  • Pressure washing and cleaning outdoor areas
  • Assisting with facility maintenance tasks as directed
Essential Responsibilities
  • Execute general grounds maintenance duties
  • Support specialized landscaping projects
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Assist in snow and ice removal when necessary
Safety and Equipment

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while operating lawn and garden equipment, including mowers, blowers, and hand tools. Proper safety gear must be worn at all times.

Qualifications
  • Preferred: One year of experience in grounds maintenance
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Drug screening and health screenings as required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
