Job Summary

The Denton State Supported Living Center seeks a highly skilled Physician III to provide advanced medical care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. As a key member of the medical services team, you will diagnose and treat complex medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health care plans with measurable goals and objectives
  • Provide medical services for assigned caseload, including diagnosis and treatment
  • Collaborate with treatment teams, families, and community medical providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in treatment team process and advocate for medical needs of individuals served
  • Provide direction and guidance to treatment teams to solve complex medical issues
  • Complete required reports and medical documentation
  • Identify and communicate trends or issues and recommend solutions
  • Provide treatment to HHSC employees injured in the course and scope of employment
Requirements

Works under the limited supervision of the Medical Director of the SSLC and with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Shares on-call duty with other qualified medical staff.
