Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Essential Functions:- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized patient care, as evidenced by client/staff observation.
- Teach patients and their families about health information, providing written materials as needed.
- Perform direct patient care, adhering to established procedures, policies, and standards.
- Assist patients, family members, and other clients with empathy and respect, maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
- Recognize the need for staffing variations and volunteer to fill open shifts, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Take direction and initiate actions to assume cross-functional duties, ensuring patient care continuity.

Knowledge/Skill/Abilities:- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Work Experience: One year of relevant experience, with graduates accepted based on position availability.
- License: Current New Mexico License required or RN License with Multistate Compact privileges.
- Certification: BLS required, with ACLS, PALS required within 90 days of employment, and TNCC and ENPC preferred.
The work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood or other body fluids.
