Savannah River Mission Completion, a leading nuclear operations and environmental remediation company, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager - Electrical and Instrumentation/Mechanical Maintenance to join our team at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance activities and personnel for the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I)/Mechanical Maintenance shift team, ensuring safety and excellence in facility operations and minimizing facility equipment downtime.
  • Establish and monitor objectives, schedules, and actions for maintenance work relative to corrective, preventive, modification, addition, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Provide direction, interpretation, and input to technical issues, resolving problems, removing constraints, and obstacles.
  • Ensure maintenance programs follow all company and site policies and procedures, and external regulatory body requirements to safely perform work and meet conduct of operations standards.
  • Ensure personnel are knowledgeable and understand procedures and other pertinent information, providing work direction to ensure work is performed safely, properly, and efficiently.
  • Review and approve procedures, work, and design packages, troubleshooting, and test plans.
  • Perform frequent, scheduled, and non-scheduled tours of work areas both on and off shift to observe conditions and communicate performance standards.
  • Monitor backlogs for appropriate prioritization and alignment to company objectives.
  • Interface with facility personnel and management (e.g., operations, radiological control, engineering) to ensure task completion while maintaining high-level safety standards.
  • Contribute to maintenance planning and budgeting activities to ensure sufficient levels of resources, adhering to department budget.
  • Analyze unplanned, recurring, and persistent maintenance problems, incidents, and/or outages impacting reliable operations, developing recommended solutions.
  • Evaluate department policies and procedures, making recommended changes.
  • Identify training needs, review training curriculum, and critically assess the overall effectiveness of training programs by monitoring field activities.
  • Perform administrative functions, including development, coaching, and mentoring of personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning.
  • Associates degree with field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning.
  • High School Diploma or GED with field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
