We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Educator to join our team as a Clinical Development Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing education programs to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver education programs to meet the needs of our nursing staff, including orientation, clinically relevant education, and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with hospital leaders, directors, and nurse managers to advance the knowledge and skills of our frontline staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of learning and professional development.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for education and professional development.
- Develop and implement evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of education programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree or current enrollment in a nursing education program preferred.
- Three to five years of clinical experience in a specialty area or a combination of staff nurse/leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Life Support Instructor certification required; ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
- Certification in a relevant clinical area and/or Nursing Professional Development within one year of hire desired.
- Current unrestricted New York State Nursing License required.
- Certification in a relevant clinical area and/or Nursing Professional Development.
- Active participation in professional organizations such as the National Nursing Staff Development Organization and ANA.
