Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL Driver to join our team at Transforce. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers across the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, with a valid CDL B license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). You will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck, navigating through various terrain and weather conditions to deliver products to customers within designated time frames.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently and as part of a team. You will work closely with our dispatch team to optimize routes, manage traffic, and ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, maintaining accurate records of hours of service and complying with federal and state regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to company safety standards and performing routine maintenance checks.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues, resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements:
  • Valid CDL B license and a clean MVR for the past 3 years.
  • 1+ year of commercial driving experience, preferably in the foodservice distribution industry.
  • Ability to lift and move product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
