Project Accountant

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000


About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our team at Creative Financial Staffing. As a key member of our financial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial and administrative accuracy of projects, including monthly invoicing aligned with contract requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial records and timely invoicing.
  • Set up and manage billing processes, track project progress, and handle project closeouts efficiently.
  • Coordinate consultant invoices and payments in accordance with established agreements.
  • Maintain and audit contract files to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate recording of project costs and make necessary labor and expense adjustments.
  • Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals, change orders, and invoices within the financial system.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries from clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Strong proficiency with financial systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in construction, design, or project cost accounting is a plus.
