Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • No experience required.
  • Possess Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Hold certifications such as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT), or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT). qualification depends on location:
    • Illinois: Respiratory Care Practitioner, Registered - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
    • Missouri: Respiratory Care Practitioner - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
    • Oklahoma: Respiratory Care Practitioner - Oklahoma Medical Board
    • Wisconsin: Respiratory Care Practitioner - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
