Join our team as a Sleep Technologist

Position Overview:

As a vital member of the patient care team, you will ensure the delivery of superior patient care by conducting comprehensive sleep studies in accordance with the standards set by our medical directors and relevant professional organizations.

(also referred to as Polysomnographic Technician, Sleep Study Technologist)

As a member of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality service and conducting sleep studies that meet the standards of excellence in sleep medicine.

Essential Qualifications:

• Completion of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited respiratory care program or an Associate degree in a health-related field, along with a certificate from an approved Polysomnographic Technology program.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• If you are a Respiratory Therapist, you must hold the CRT or RRT credential (RRT preferred) and be licensed in the State of Nebraska.

• Strong communication skills are essential.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and operating medical equipment is required.

• Familiarity with computer technology is necessary.

• Registration as a Polysomnography Technician (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory, obtained from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of experience as a respiratory therapist is preferred.

• Prior experience in scoring sleep studies is advantageous.

• Clinical experience in a sleep laboratory setting is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Familiarity with equipment used in the field is preferred.
