Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures timely and professional execution of all physician requests for imaging services.
  • Conducts a range of technical and patient care procedures requiring independent judgment while utilizing a multi-slice CT scanner.
  • Employs power injectors and monitoring devices effectively.
  • Initiates IV access and administers contrast materials as directed by the attending physician.
  • Engages actively in a collaborative team environment, maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Collects essential diagnostic information to facilitate accurate imaging examinations and protocols.
  • Confirms patient identity, reviews prior imaging for consistency with clinical indications, and documents relevant information on CT requisitions.
  • Evaluates each imaging study for technical precision, presents findings to the radiologist, and communicates critical information to the care team post-procedure.
  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills, managing patient orders, status updates, charges, and profiles.
  • Contributes to quality assurance initiatives.
  • Supports the efficient operation of the imaging department.
  • Ensures all imaging rooms are adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Monitors patient conditions, ensuring safety through appropriate use of restraints and support devices.
  • Records all required information accurately.
  • Handles incoming telephone inquiries.
  • Completes annual compliance training.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all clinic-related information.
  • Exhibits regular and dependable attendance.
  • Arrives at work punctually as scheduled.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisors and physicians.
  • Assists colleagues in conducting radiologic examinations.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology training program and CT registration (ARRT).
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a CT Technologist utilizing a 64-slice GE scanner.
  • Advanced registry in CT is required.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate diagnostic images and perform related tasks, including IV initiation and maintenance, injector protocols, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of CT and CTA cross-sectional anatomy, multi-planar anatomy, and associated procedures is essential, with responsibility for daily operations as per Radiologist protocols.
  • Knowledge of daily equipment calibration and Quality Assurance programs in accordance with ACR standards.
  • Awareness of and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with PACS and related computer applications.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
  • R.T. and Mammography Certification is preferred.
