A DAY IN THE LIFE:
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to prepare client billings.
  • Manage the processing of overhead and project cost invoices throughout the month.
  • Engage daily with vendors and subcontractors to resolve billing and payment issues.
  • Ensure the collection, logging, and verification of all necessary lien waivers from subcontractors and suppliers for each payout, submitting them to project owners as required.
  • Reconcile and finalize accounts payable and receivable monthly, assisting in the cash reconciliation process and preparing monthly collection reports.
  • Address various tasks assigned by the controller.
  • Provide information and analysis to Project Managers regarding job costs and subcontractor matters.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and Project Managers.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma required
  • 5-15 years of accounting experience preferred; experience in construction accounting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint software is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in building relationships with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel is required.
