About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Horizon Organic. As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for managing material inventories for a specified category to support finished goods production plans, minimize obsolescence, and provide overall cost containment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate material plans for specified categories, ensuring alignment with production plans and minimizing obsolescence.
  • Lead and conduct material planning meetings with suppliers to ensure adequate material plans and optimize system planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply planning, procurement, and manufacturing, to deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service, days of supply, lead time, and forecast accuracy.
  • Track and report key KPIs, including obsolescence, supplier inventory levels, days inventory outstanding, and service levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or BBA with Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Approx. 3-5+ years related experience in Supply Planning in a CPG Industry.
  • SAP/APO knowledge required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes and safety stock optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of materials management and supplier management.
