Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at our rehabilitation and skilled nursing center in Northern Manhattan, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include attending meetings, orientations, and trainings as directed by the charge nurse and management. You will be responsible for cleaning and tidying rooms, serving meals in a timely manner, and ensuring patient safety at all times. You will also answer call bells promptly and document the care provided during and at the end of each shift. Additionally, you will report any items that need to be ordered, repaired, or are missing to the charge nurse.

Requirements

  • 6 months of experience working in a similar setting
  • CNA Certification from an accredited program
  • High customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and report back to the charge nurse
  • High attention to detail and patience


Work Environment

Our facility is a 705-capacity rehabilitation and skilled nursing center located in Northern Manhattan. We are dedicated to providing quality care through diverse programs and services designed to support health and independence for individuals needing short or long-term care. We accept agency staff who can commit to a minimum of 3 days per week with an every-other-weekend schedule. Shifts include Day (7:30 am - 3:30 pm), Evening (3:30 pm - 11:30 pm), and Night (11:30 pm - 7:30 am). During the first week, you will have classroom training from 9 am to 5 pm for the first three days, and ideally, start buddying on the fourth day based on your assigned shift.
