This role provides a motivated professional with a unique opportunity to engage in a wide array of activities that support a diverse portfolio in the Aerospace and Defense sector.
BAE Systems is seeking a Security Program Management Officer (SPMO) for several initiatives executed from the Electronic Systems campus. The SPMO will collaborate closely with security leadership and designated program personnel on all facets of specialized program security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and enforce government and corporate security regulations while offering guidance to program staff.
- Engage with program leaders and maintain communication with U.S. Government Program Security Officers.
- Provide security support and direction to prime and subcontractors, including the development and upkeep of security documentation.
- Create and update program-specific security plans, procedures, and guidelines.
- Offer classification advice to team members, develop and deliver security training, conduct briefings, lead self-assessments, and investigate security breaches.
- Support various security disciplines within the program, including Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance, Communications Security, Document Control, and Visitor Control. Availability for after-hours alarm responses on a rotational basis is required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Possession of an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Ability to interpret and enforce security policies effectively.
- Strong understanding and prior application of security standards and protocols.
- Familiarity with a broad range of security products and applications.
- Experience interfacing with program managers and liaising with government security officials.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining security documentation.
- Experience in providing security education and conducting audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of DoD SAP Manuals, ICDs, and TEMPEST.
- Ability to navigate complex security environments and ensure compliance.
- Capacity to work independently and devise innovative solutions to security challenges.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on presenting complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and make sound decisions.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
Full-Time Salary Range: $164,010. This range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries influenced by various factors, including local market conditions and candidate qualifications.
