Principal Responsibilities

As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will maintain a working knowledge of vehicle components and systems, performing preventative and repair maintenance functions on-site and on the road.

  • Chassis component repair and maintenance
  • Refuse body systems, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air and hydraulic braking systems
  • Engine repair and maintenance
  • Suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems
  • Heating and air conditioning

You will also perform line maintenance welding and fabrication, and safely provide road service to ensure equipment is returned to operation in a safe and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying the source of malfunctions using electronic tools
  • Completing applicable Company training programs
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
