We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Rocky Mountain Pediatric Hematology Oncology. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high-quality, efficient care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients.
- Greet patients and prepare them for physician's examination.
- Provide general nursing care to patients as necessary for office treatment.
- Screen patients for appropriate information.
- Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Arrange for patient testing and admissions.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls.
- Instruct patients and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records and other pertinent information.
- Post tests and examination results.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Maintain current knowledge to assure a safe working environment and demonstrate practical application of all policies and procedures relative to safety and infection control.
- Utilize universal precautions in any potential contact with patient body fluids or used patient supplies that may be contaminated with patient body fluids.
- Project a positive image of the facility in all interactions and support effective team functioning.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
- Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required.
- 1-3 years of experience as a registered nurse is preferred.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
