We are seeking a highly skilled Surveyor Technician to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan Inc. in a field operations role. As a Surveyor Technician, you will be responsible for performing detailed field surveys at assigned sites, assisting with buried utility location surveys, and completing survey "as-builts" on new and existing features.

• Conduct field surveys to gather data and information for various projects
• Assist with the location and mapping of buried utilities
• Prepare and present findings to engineering, geology, and operations personnel
• Compile data for blast hole patterns, road designs, and other projects
• Perform other duties as required

• 6 months of experience in mining, construction, or a related field
• A valid driver's license is required

• High School diploma or GED
• Previous surveying experience
• Ability to learn and operate computer programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
• Able to work in an outdoor, mine or manufacturing plant setting
• Exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
